What Light Bulbs are Best?

Postby Jeffrey on Thu Nov 13, 2008 1:10 pm

Does anyone have a suggestion for the best type of bulb to buy for a beginner? I haven't tried this exercise yet, but I'm excited to see what happens.

A link to a site that sells them would be helpful!

We have had good luck with any standard florescent ring bulb of any wattage big enough to get your hands around it. Others have also lit the tubes that are about 1/4 diameter and one foot long. A few people have reported lighting incandescent but I have not personally seen this. Some have lit the bulbs from a distance of a few feet but I would start with hands on the bulb. Hope this helps

I don't know which light bulbs are the best but here is the information for the light bulbs that we used for the December SyncCreation workshop. They worked for me and everyone else in the group (to the best of my knowledge). I personally liked them a lot because they were easy to hold with both hands and I have always associated circles with continual energy (no beginning and no end type stuff) and fluidity which assisted me.

Here is the information:
GE, cool white 32w round light bulbs - You can get them at your local hardware store.
Here is a link to them online so you can see what they look like:
